National Teacher Appreciation Week
The National Education Association describes National Teacher Week “as a week for honoring teachers and recognizing the lasting contributions they make to our lives.” Teachers play a critical role in educating and shaping our children, the future leaders of our country. This kind, patient, hard-working, dedicated, and understanding professionals help mold our children and guide them in positive directions. We entrust our children with teachers, and they affect their lives daily.
We thank them for their commitment to supporting students learning even under the most challenging circumstances. Our teachers have gone above beyond during extraordinary circumstances this year to help students learn through the pandemic.
The Community Outreach Team treated over 200 teachers with lunches last week in Atlanta, Miami, Cleveland, and Baltimore; along with some small love tokens centered around our Dare To Live Right Movement.
No matter where we are in life, a teacher influenced us. They continue to impact our lives every day, too! Every one of us has at least one teacher in mind who encouraged and motivated us during our education. Let’s not let this celebration be limited to one week. If you know a teacher, send them a special “Thank YOU, for they are valuable to each of our communities.
