DTLR Community outreach and our Florida staff teamed up with Jacksonville Jaguars safety Barry Church, NFL Play60, and the Florida Dairy Council to pay a visit to students at Hyde Park Elementary School. Many of the youth at Hyde live in designated ‘food desert’ areas where access to affordable and nutritious food is limited. Furthermore, many of the food handling and serving equipment at the school were suffering. Following the need, we were able to join efforts with our partners to provide new insulated food coolers, a new mural for their auditorium, over 200 pairs of new shoes for the kids, and countless smiling faces!
